Job description

 

The Chief Product Officer develops and drives the product vision and strategy. The CPO provides continuous feedback to the team and helps the team to follow the product vision.

His primary responsibility is to ensure that the team knows with accurate detail what they are expected to build, the vision and the roles the team are expected to play.

The CPO must develop a deep understanding of the target market/industry, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and define the business strategy for the product.

Role

· Establish a clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders and the team.

· Take ownership of the entire product strategy from concept to assessing business value upon production.

· Create a feature backlog by crafting user stories and acceptance criteria with the work-cell team.

· Continuously enhance the backlog by ensuring clear descriptions, estimates, and prioritisation.

· Prioritize user-driven design, incorporating feedback from usability tests and leveraging market and industry knowledge.

· Approve each feature and offer valuable feedback to the team.

· Collaborate with the Scrum Master to drive sprint and release plans.

· Exercise strong decision-making authority from the executive group to oversee the entire product.

· Work with the Solution Architect to develop a modular and reusable solution.

Key skills

· Expertise in Retail B2B and B2C domains, products, and customer journeys.

· Strong familiarity with e-Commerce industry trends and challenges, enabling the formulation of a valuable product vision and user requirements.

· Ability to engage in discussions with the Technology/IT team

· Experience in Agile Development, with specific Product Owner (or similar) experience preferred, should be confident in building and managing the Backlog of work

· Experience working with engineering teams preferred, cross functional teams a plus

· Challenger mindset and strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
