In order to support our CoE Finance Teams, we currently are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Smart-Working Offices in Rabat/Technopolis.
What we expect from you :
Managerial Duties – All scopes
– Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department :
- Month and end-year process
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts and treasury
- General ledger
- Payroll and utilities
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Capital assets reconciliations
- Trust account statement reconciliations,
- Fixed asset activity
- Debt activity
– Improve systems, KPI and procedures and initiate corrective actions
– Full ownership of deliverables to ensure the accuracy of services delivered to the partners
– Provide advice and assistance in making decisions in the areas of accounting
– Responsible for leading & motivating the team with accountability on all Service Delivery parameters
– Appraising the team members against set goals & develop them to assume greater responsibilities
– Direct lead of continuous improvement with strong emphasis on Opcos orientation and timescales optimization.
– Business development and governance management
Managerial Duties – Morocco Branch
– Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
– Meet financial accounting objectives
– Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
– Ensure accurate expense accounting, reporting in accordance with agreed timescales
– Preparation of regular financial statements
– Keeping records and tracking of assets purchased and in use. Update records when assets are removed and no longer in use
– Supervision of bank reconciliation, balance sheet justification, asset management, accounts payables, payroll records.
Service Level Management
– Contribute to the service delivery of agreed key performance metrics of turnaround time, quality, productivity etc.
The Successful Applicant :
Educational Background and Experience
- A bachelor/MSc degree in Accounting or Finance from a prestigious University with minimum 5-6 years of experience required
- Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant with minimum of 4 – 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre environment
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate at all levels,
- Demonstrate a good ability to understand systems and structures underpinning reporting
- Excellent Team Handling capabilities with proven track record of managing large teams
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills along with motivation skills to uplift team members
- Customer focused – actively seeks and responds appropriately to customer’s needs.
- Deal with problems in line with agreed procedures
Technical Competencies
- Awareness of AXA group principles
- Strong Accounting principles knowledge
Language Skills
- Fluency in English – speaking, reading and writing
